What does “going the extra heat (mile)” mean to you and what motivates you to go the extra heat in your role?
For me, to go the extra heat is to pay close attention to making sure everything is coherent and has the same visual style, with accuracy, so that clients can tell, at the first glance, that the drawings provided are Mayerton drawings.
For me, to go the extra heat is to pay close attention to making sure everything is coherent and has the same visual style, with accuracy, so that clients can tell, at the first glance, that the drawings provided are Mayerton drawings. One of the most important things for our team, is that all the information that we provide to our clients is clear and concise.
It is essential that the work done by the technical team is of an excellent standard, this means that later, when the constructions are finally produced, they are seamless and accurate in their design.
What’s a challenge you’ve faced recently, and how did you overcome it?
Last week one of our clients had a problem with a ladle spout; to solve this our technical and sales team had a meeting and discussed this issue, we found the best solution.
Teamwork is very important, especially when facing challenges, to be efficient and obtain good results in our work.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Mayerton team?
I love the work I do at Mayerton; technical design has always been my passion, and I enjoy doing all the projects for our customers. Having the opportunity to create a project in the office, with the Mayerton team, and then see how it transforms into a construction, is very exciting for me.
How do you approach keeping up with industry changes and improving your skills?
I always try to be aware with any updates of the design programs I use, ensuring that I can work efficiently. I like to do new courses and continue to learn about new technologies that can be useful for my job.

I appreciate that the fact that one of Mayerton’s core values is creating collaborative environments. Having good communication with other colleagues creates a stable environment, and encourages better practise, enabling us to produce high quality products while supporting one another in the process. Furthermore, we learn from each other when we share our ideas. Collaboration makes our team stronger.
What advice would you give to others who want to make a difference in their roles?
I believe one of the most important things in your job is to enjoy what you do. When you are passionate about your job, it naturally drives you to take the initiative, solve problems creatively, and make a positive impact in your role.

I provide my team with ongoing support and positive communication skills, that help enhance our team’s performance. I prioritise active listening and clear communication, which allows us to collaborate effectively, solve problems efficiently, and achieve our goals together.
