Mayerton collaborates with long steel producers to develop solutions optimised to a customer’s specific steel and process demands, at the lowest cost/tLS.
Long Steels being primarily produced via the EAF route, we optimise all zones (hearth, sidewall under hearth, bath, slagline, hotspots, burner/injector surrounds, upper sidewall, bullnose, slagdoor, EBT) to balance lining wear rate under the different conditions throughout the vessel.
Steels mostly silicon-killed with less aluminium and dual-killed steel grades, ladle material selections and thicknesses are chosen to provide balanced lining for one-shot or mid-campaign repair with minimal contamination.
