What does “going the extra heat (mile)” mean to you and what motivates you to go the extra heat in your role?
The desire to make a meaningful impact within Mayerton drives my motivation. Knowing that my contributions can help shape projects and achieve common goals drives me to be my best.
What’s a challenge you’ve faced recently, and how did you overcome it?
The on boarding of new 3P suppliers overseas that involved following a qualification process. This meant some extensive travel, with support from my colleagues and meeting with potential suppliers. This was a challenging trip with lots of travel and a packed itinerary but resulted in us collectively achieving our goal of onboarding the right new suppliers.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Mayerton team?
They have your back!
The Mayerton team supports you through the good times and challenging times, just like a family would! I can always rely on them.
How do you approach keeping up with industry changes and improving your skills?
I regularly attend industry conferences/seminars and seek out opportunities for professional development through in house training and online courses.
Is there a particular value or aspect of Mayerton culture that resonates with you? How does our company culture inspire you to take on challenges?
Our company culture helps keep me motivated and embrace challenges head on rather than shying away from them.
What advice would you give to others who want to make a difference in their roles?
Stay motivated by connecting with the passion that brought you to your role in the first place. Let your enthusiasm inspire those around you.
What skills or qualities do you bring that you feel enhance our team’s performance?
I have a commitment to continuous improvement both personally and professionally. By seeking out opportunities for learning and development, I can help contribute to the team’s performance and help achieve common goals.
What’s a memorable piece of advice or experience that shaped how you approach your work?
Compete against yourself, not against others. Rather than comparing yourself to others, focus on your own progress, skills, and achievements.
What part of your role do you look forward to each day?
Collaboration with our team members. This collaboration often leads to sharing ideas and solutions, making daily tasks more enjoyable and fulfilling.
What’s the best part of your day, and why?
The end! It gives me time to reflect on my working day, prepare for the next one and importantly spend time with my girls giving a great work life balance.
