The Interview

What does “going the extra heat (mile)” mean to you and what motivates you to go the extra heat in your role?

To me, going the extra heat at work means going above and beyond what is outlined in my job description and expected of me. It’s about striving to make things better than required, purely to achieve outstanding results. In my role, I act as the “trait d’union” between different company departments and the Italian Market, facilitating and aligning the needs of the client with those of the company.

What’s a challenge you’ve faced recently, and how did you overcome it?

Every day comes with challenges, balancing the pressures of a demanding work environment with family needs. Throughout recent decades we live in a stressful global environment, I try to overcome these challenges through resilience, adaptability, and maintaining a positive mindset.

We are more than just coworkers; we easily become each other’s friends, family, and trusted mentors to one another. The best feeling about working with people you like is knowing you are welcomed and trusted.

How do you approach keeping up with industry changes and improving your skills?

We live in a global village, it’s easier than ever to stay informed. I follow key influencers, join professional networks, attend webinars and events, read publications and reports, and regularly check industry news sites and online forums to stay current on the latest trends. Without forgetting to stay curious experimenting and learning from the personal experience.

Is there a particular value or aspect of Mayerton culture that resonates with you? How does our company culture inspire you to take on challenges?

I identify with Mayerton’s value of putting the customer first, being result driven, reliable and responsive. I am a firm believer in great customer service. When I receive great customer service from a company, I am much more likely to return. This belief motivates me to think, promote, and try putting myself in the shoes of a customer before making any decisions.

What advice would you give to others who want to make a difference in their roles? How do you think your efforts make a difference to our customers or team?

Making a difference starts with the desire and motivation to change the status quo, you’re already halfway there by having this mindset. Self-motivation is one of the most important factors for success, and I try to practice this principle throughout my daily activities.

What skills or qualities do you bring that you feel enhance our team’s performance?

Be passionate first, without forgetting to win challenges with responsibility, collaboration and empathic honesty.

What’s a memorable piece of advice or experience that shaped how you approach your work?

There is not just one memorable piece of advice. All of my experiences gained, positive and negative, in different Industries, countries, including people with different mentalities have contributed to forge me and my approach to work.

What part of your role do you look forward to each day?

I look forward to tackling challenges, learning new things, and working with a team that is excited to collaborate and engage on projects.

What’s the best part of your day, and why?

The best part of my day is the morning, when I wake up thinking about the new daily activities. When I am at home, having breakfast with my family and my child is just a great feeling.
